Fineline & Dotwork from Our Havelock Shop
Fine line work thin enough to sit inside a wrist, and grey shading built up one dot at a time. Script, botanicals, small pieces that read quietly up close instead of across the room. A tattoo the size of a postage stamp still gets drawn for you, and you can walk in for one any day, 12 to 7.

Getting a Fine Line or Dotwork Tattoo
Fine line and dotwork are the slowest things we do per square inch. A single-needle line has nowhere to hide, and stippled shading gets built one dot at a time until the grey sits where it should. None of that makes it appointment-only work. It is a walk-in here like everything else in the shop.
Small does not mean unimportant here. A first tattoo, a name, a couple of stems on a forearm: all of it gets a drawing made for you and a fresh setup. The shop minimum is $100 and we price by the piece, so you know the number before anything starts, and it is cash. Small tattoos also carry one free touch-up inside six months, judged once you are fully healed. Hands, feet, fingers, neck, face and head are the exception, because those fade faster no matter who does them, so touch-ups there are charged. Deposits and payment are on the FAQ.
You can walk in for it, or send the idea and any reference you have on the tattoo request form. If you already know it is going to be a big one, say so on the form, because a piece that runs the length of an arm gets planned differently from a piece that fits in a palm. Everything the four of us tattoo sits together in the shop gallery.
