Eagles, roses, daggers, hearts, panthers and ships, drawn here and tattooed here. Heavy black, a tight palette, and shapes that will still read across a room in twenty years. Some of it came off our flash walls and some of it was drawn for one person. Walk in any day, 12 to 7, and if we can tattoo you that day, we will.
Getting an American Traditional Tattoo
American traditional is what this shop was built on. It is what our flash walls are covered in and it is what most of us tattoo. The rules are old and they are not complicated: black laid in heavy enough to hold, color kept to a few, and shapes with enough space in them to still read once the skin has moved. That is the whole point of tattooing it this way.
You do not need a finished idea. “A rose on my forearm” is plenty to start with. Come in any day, 12 to 7, tell an artist what you are after and where it is going, and you get a price for the piece before anything starts. The shop minimum is $100 and everything above it is priced by the piece, in cash. A small first tattoo is a real job here, not a favor, and it gets drawn for you like anything else does.
If you would rather have it drawn up before you sit down, send the subject, the size and the placement on the tattoo request form and an artist will come back to you about scheduling. A $100 cash deposit holds the slot and comes off the final price. And a traditional tattoo is not automatically a small one: an eagle across a chest and a full sleeve of roses both start the same way, with a conversation at the desk.
